When I connect my laptop to my projector, the screen disappears from the laptop. It has worked for many a days until about 2 weeks ago. It shows perfectly from the projector but laptop shows a black screen.
    Help!

Each laptop has [Fn] (function keys) you press that key and one of the F1-F12 keys. Each F keys have images of what it does. Now since I don't know what the heck your using model wise, I'll say [Fn] [F5] You press Fn first at the same time you press F5 which you would keep on press the F5 until the screen that shows you what's on the projector is on the laptop. So you're looking for a monitor icon on those F1-F12 keys.

You can also right click on the desktop and choose Properties. Then click Settings. Once there you can choose how the desktop is displayed, and on which monitors.

    BTW
