    Hi guys,

just have a few questions on laptop battery lifetime:

Lithium batteries seem to be the best technology for batteries currently, but what is the next big battery technology?
    - All batteries available to consumers seem to loose capacity after a certain amount of cycles - how could this be prevented or minimized?

I heard something about oxygen based batteries coming out soon, I'll google it later.

As for maximising battery life, rather simple, make sure you do a full charge, let it run down until it's dead and continue the cycle again. Sometimes windows doesn't let it run till it's dead, so you may have to mess around with the settings.

    Oxygen based battery

    Hi cosmos100

I believe that what you´re referring to is this

I´ve learned that lithm ion battries shouldn´t be decharged completely since they have no "memory" and therefore theoretically shouldn´t loose capacity because of charge cycles.
