Laptop Dell Inspiron, power on problem

Thanks,..this laptop sometimes power on normaly and sometime not,..when this laptop power on normal it´s works very well huntill charge the batery fully,but if turning of and later try to power on again ,...nathing ,...no start the laptop it seems dead ,..I´ve check almost every parts bu i can´t find the problem ,..only when the initial post show that ¨wattage and type adapter unknown try a 65 wts or biger ¨,..could this be the problem ?,...any idea I¨ll thanks you

hi im not a tech but know a few bits take battery off laptop and try plug the charger adaper in without the battery on and see what happens if works fine then you need new battery if not then try to get a charger adapter that is compatible and try these are 1st 2 steps i would try
