    Hi

Last day I was downloading some torrent file when it started. The videos started breaking up and even the cursor movements started becoming jerky. Generally such problems get rectified on restarting the computer but this time, nada. I store stuffs on an external HD connected through USB. I tried reinstalling VLC, defragmenting both the drives and a disk cleanup as well, total antivirus scan and even changing the usb ports, but no improvement. I wonder if it is a software/USB port/ external HD/ virus/ RAM or some other problem all together. Please help me out.

OS Windows XP Home SP 3
Intel Pentium M 1.70 GHz RAM 1.46 GB
    Norton 360 antivirus.

Remove Norton 360 and see if the jerkyness stops. You may have a malware infection that Norton missed
