Laptop is very slow even have 3GB Ram and 1.8Ghz

    I have Dell Inspiron 1420 Laptop, 1.8ghz, 3GB Ram, i am using windows vista, but my system is very slow, even internet explore takes few mints to open, in the starting my 40% Ram in use,
    please advice me what should i do for make speed up my system,

    What percentage of your CPU is in use immediately after turning on the computer? And how many processes are running in task manager?
