  1. Hi

For those of you who work/have worked in tech shops or have had a similar situation, how much would it cost to have a replacement laptop screen installed.

I already have the replacement screen and just need it installed.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

If I remember correctly, about $350-400 including the screen itself.
So reckon about 100-150 for labour.
Get a good set of screwdrivers and DIY. It's not THAT hard!

    Maybe about $100 Canadian.

Its not that hard to do... just be very careful.

    What make of laptop?

    Thanks Guys.

My laptop is an ASUS L5800(L5gm). The screen that I am set to order is from a third party site and is quite expensive ($455).

Is it possible the tech guys can order it since they probably have better sources than me?

I found one off eBay for my mother-in-laws last year. It was about $125 US.

Yeah it depends what screen it is. This one was an 15.1" SXGA+ TFT LCD, 1400x1050 pixels so its pretty expensive I think.
