  1. i have laptop (no clue what company it is, the monitor cover that has the logo is busted), anyways, about 2 years ago, my brother broke the monitor, so i bought a brand new screen. But when i tried to reconnect the wires (2 simple plug in), nothing came up on the screen. Now i have a $700 laptop with no screen even though the monitor is brand new. Anyone have any idea what i might be doing wrong, or if the wire that connects to the monitor might be damaged? I could post pictures of how it looks like if you ask for it

The inverter card at the bottom of the screen may not be connected properly, or the ribbon cable may not fully connected, or may be cracked or damaged, or the monitor screen is not the correct one for that computer model...
