Laptop not booting up

hi folks,
just a few questions,
i have an acer aspire 4530,when i try to turn it on,it powers on then back off in about 5 seconds...at times when it powers on i can not get the power turned off,and it does not boot up at all,any ideas or suggestions on how i can get this rectified
