I installed some new RAM a few moments ago, i've booted it up and it's all fine, apart from that it only recognises 1GB of the 2GB i've installed. Yet i checked on the crucial website as to how much it would be able to allow.

I could understand perhaps say 1.96GB or something silly, but half of my RAM is a bit stupid :/

    Anyone got any ideas?..
    Thanks

Make sure the RAM is fully seated.

Try each booting with each module individually and if there is just one that won't work, try it in another slot.

Yeah, i just turned it off before your reply and fixed it. :)

The one RAM wasn't completely in the "docking bay" or whatever you'd like to call it. :) So it's fixed now, 2 GB of RAM :)

;) It's the usual cause. Enjoy your new RAM.
