Yes I have, and I hated them, lol. I have my own style of typing, and those types of keyboards screw it up, lol. But thing here is that some people need both a desktop AND a laptop. Depending on what they do, they may not really need a desktop. So why buy both when all you really need is a laptop (like people who spend most of their time on the road and are rarely home...or those who just don't feel the need for one). I've seen laptops with excellent video playback (my mother-in-law's is a high def and plays high def movie very well). As far as gaming is concerned, I laugh at those who buy laptops for gaming, lol. Oh I don't know...perhaps go outside and breath some fresh air? Or maybe find another hobby? I've got 3 at the moment, plus i'm studying for the new edition of the A+. Besides, why spend all the time debating on one topic when there are plenty of other threads out there that could use a good debate, lol.
Well, you pick one, get the pot boiling, then I'll swoop in and annoy the living crap of everybody!
well if you're a business man and a gamer i would prefer both...cause most of the people i know uses laptops for back ups
Gotta have both, PC has the space to make it into a super powerful machine. Laptop is useful when you're away from PC. Netbooks are still too underpowered imo, next generation or two I might get one.
I prefer using a desktop, since I am a creative person (who uses Photoshop and other desktop publishing applications) and it's a bit difficult for me to work with a laptop.
I prefer Desktop for Gaming while I prefer the laptop for surfing the net, chatting, FB etc. But I sometimes use my laptop for some games that need small requirements. The "Laptop" is portable and can be brought anywhere while the "Desktop" must only stay in one place. But I still pick the DESKTOP!!
To vote any other way but desktop, would be non forgiving to myself. The satisfaction you get of taking your custom desktop to bits and giving it a right good old clean just can't be attained with a laptop.
Damn straight! Laptops are too much of a pain in the *** to take apart and clean. I have friends ask me to do so and I tell them "only because I know you" lol.
I don't think you can factor in speed here. Speed has to do with the hardware, not whether it's a laptop or desktop. Some desktops are faster than laptops, some laptops are faster then desktops. All depends on the hardware.
