Laptop problem

    My friend Sarah from guildwars is having a problem she says her laptop(only computer wont work she cant see anything the screen just went black and it apprently still loads there just is something wrong with the screen.

    sorry actually she said it was a desktop :/......anyways i told her to reset to factory defaults check connection turn off and on any other suggestions are welcome though.

    That's a good start, and you can also tell her to reseat her video card as well.

    If that doesn't do anything and the rest of her PC sounds as if it is fully operational, her video card has likely failed. Have her test the video card on another PC if possible.
