Laptop Repair

Hi People,
I am looking to repair laptops. I would like to also go to the motherboard component level. I am getting old so would not want to spend school time. Right now I am just above a novice laptop repair person,
I know some of you might say that motherboard repair is too costly. Well I am not in business of repairing. I just help friends, family..... and my father-in-law. :;O(
Can you suggest good books, dvd's, online coarses...
