Hey I have a toshiba laptop model: p105 s9312. When I turn it on there are a bunch of red lines then when I go into the bios or windows I get things like this

    !&fu#^*&

Weird letters. It also does this when I connect it to a external monitor. Is it the video card and does this one have a removable card

Please run Memtest on your Ram
Mind you, yes I think it's the Video card that causes this
You could also update the bios (reading all precautions first, and done from bootable media)

memtest passed and bios is up to date. Still same problem can't find if this model has a removable video card

Just about all (if not all) laptops don't have removable or updatable Video cards
The Video is actually on the Mobo itself.

I would suggest to reset Bios to defaults

I also had another idea, it could be a faulty HardDrive
Try a Drive Diagnostics on it

I ran a full diagnostic on it and it faild on video memory so I called toshiba and they said that the video card is removable, but the part is well over what I want to pay for $480
