    Hello,

Im trying to connect my Compaq laptop(running a GeForce 8200M G graphics card) to my Matsui HDTV using the HDMI output on the laptop.

The computer has picked up the TV as a display but the TV only shows a black screen, i've fiddled with the resolution to no avail.

The laptop works on vista and i have done the
Personalise -> Display Settings -> Extend The Desktop(checkbox)

    Any sugestions would be excelent,
    Thanks

EDIT: Solved! - I just had to connect the TV and the Laptop and press fn + f4(it depends on the laptop which function key it is, it may need to be pressed multiple times).

Its gotta be a buggy laptop.

Try changing slots betweeen your 8200 and what have you.. gl

Isn't that the setting for DUAL monitors? You want to enable the alternate video output

    Thanks for the replys,

I checked it in another TV and it didnt work in that one either.
I'll get the connection tested by a pro.
