Laptop will not start

Hello

I have a Acer travelmate 2310 i just bought a new power pack/battery for it and it worked fine the first day no problems.a few days later i plugged it it to use and it would not go on. Usually a light goes on to indicate i have it plugged and it is charging and no even that would go on NOthing .I even left it plugged in for a few hours to see if it would charge nothing ?
Anyone have any ideas???

Hi

did you buy an authentic battery and PSU or one of those cheap chinese ones, these have been shown to fail and can severly damage your laptop's charging and power circuit.

As far as i know it was a real battery for my laptop.Not a cheap one.

Recharge the battery away from the computer...
Some batteries (about 7 percent) arrive bad, and half to be returned.

yeah my sis's battery on her vista runs at half what it's supposed to and has to charge it fully to be able to go cordless for more than an hour... lame
