  1. Hi my laptop won't boot fully. It boots like normal until just before I get to the log in window and then it freaks out, making a loud revving noise for about 20 seconds and then a blue screen comes up. I can only open in 'safe mode' and this is the information I got from windows:

    Problem event name: Blue Screen
    OS version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48
    Locale ID: 6153

    Additional information:
    BCCODE: 1000007e
    BCP1: C0000005
    BCP2: 82CJF2ED
    BCP3: 8D16F43C
    BCP4: 8D16F020

    OS VERSION: 6_1_7600
    SERVICE PACK: 0_0
    PRODUCT: 256_1

I can't access the dump file in safe mode so I can post it unless someone can tell me how to do it. I also ran a virus check using avast in safe mode and it found 1 threat which I deleted but this did nothing when I restarted the laptop.

    Thanks for any help

Can you perform a operating system restore?
