  1. Anybody know how I can avoid paying 100$ for a 120GB HDD for the 360 or how I can safely have a much larger HDD, I don't want to get anned from Xbox Live but I do want my Xbox to hold way more of my CDs.

not possible mate, I tried this and found that the Xbox Hard Drives have a special formatting that requires software to format that i guess only MS have.

Unlike PS3, you can't just get any Hard drive at a local computer store and attach to your 360, like PBninja said, xbox hard drives are specific to xbox only, You know how much money microsoft would lose ( sarcasm ) if they let you add any hard drive?

You'd be able to buy a cheap 20gig xbox and put a terabyte hard drive on it and still be saving alot of money :haha:

Xbox specific formatting makes no difference if you clone the drive sector-by-sector. It's just a standard 2.5" SATA hdd inside.
