Latitude CPx H wont boot

Hey Everybody,

I have a Dell Latitude CPx H and when you go to hit the power button the power light will stay on for about 10 seconds and go off any ideas of what is wrong Thank P.S. the specs are posted below



Intel Plll 500mhz
12 gb hard drive
windows 98 se
128mb ram
24x cd-rw, dvd reader


Any help greatly appreciated

Do you think its the motherboard? When you push the power button nothing comes up on the system screen but the power button goes off in about 5 seconds. As well as then the battery gos to charge and then flashes rapidly and it still wont boot if you take the battery out and the power light is on the A/C adaptor. Please help if you know anything I'm stumped on this one
