Leaked: full Crysis 2 game, with multiplayer and master key

Sounds like PC gamers got mad their game got put on console and decided to hack the game wide open in revenge.

I hope that is sarcasm. The likelihood of a hackers breaking into Crytek and taking the game is unlikely.

People are so brave when the are sheathed in internet anonymity. Little pirate pissers!.
I'm buying the game. I've had all of Crytecs games. Far Cry 1 and 2. Crysis, Crysis Wars, and soon Crysis 2. And I may even upgrade (If I even need to, running an EAH5870 right now, but only on a quad core, and Windows 7). Crytec is very good at making the kind of games I like to play and finish.

I'm glad this happened to PC, you guys were talking so much about how it is going to have superior graphics and so much more better on the PC. Well now you guys may not get games like this so cheers to being a console gamer.

I don't even know how to respond to that...it is going to be "more better" on PC because it is the better, more powerful system. You can't argue that an xbox or a PS3 is capable of better graphics. They were both outdated technology when they came out. Maybe you're just jealous, but I can't see how anyone would enjoy to see that fall of an industry. I always think of console gamers like people trying to hold onto VHS tapes. Move on, consoles are fun for playing with friends, but serious gaming is done on a PC.

wtf

I'm sorry for you guys thinking this leak would change something, the truth is there will be no difference AT ALL! Sooner or Later a cracked version of ANY game appears on the internet and believe if someone wasn't planning to spend his cash on this game there is no way of making him/her change his/her mind. NO WAY. PERIOD. If someone think that because of illegal downloads Crytek or EA will lose money he is WRONG! (btw i think the only ones who says: "well this year we lost another 10trillion Dollals due to piracy blah blaah blaa" are the financal *****s that has never done anything which actually has something with PC games or software in common at all).

And those who really wanted to buy this game, they would anyways....i mean why not?
To save 50-60$? Really? Are u that greedy? As I already said if you wanted to buy this game you have already planned to spend some money...

And at last the most crucial thing: there are more important things than video games, even if crytek, ea and all the other go bust... go out and start doing something that really matters instead of crying in some internet forum.

Not sure why people are fussing about this, this isn't anything but a demo or some sort or just like how win7 was release in all its glory but a beta. Obviously this won't hurt sales in a way. I wont be playing the game until about 2 years from now anyways, because i am not spending 60 bucks on the game. 29.99 is my limit for a pc game, 40 dollars depending on what it is, but Crysis 2 isn't worth 60 bucks, or crysis games in general for that matter.

I think there is no response to something that stupid... dont even try to argue with people like that (p.s. should I call someone with an IQ of 43,5638*(10^(put a very large number here thx) a person at all???)

correction 29.99 is my limit for pc games.

rofl, i mean u can say u're lucky i live in germany and last year i had to pay 80€ (its about 11000$) for an uncut Fallout3 (no limited collection or stuff like that), yesterday i wanted to pre-order BF3 for PC on Amazon.de and its 60€ and the PS3 & Xbox Versions even worse 75€..... i'm a student and get max 390€ per month by working on week-ends, i mean this is the real issue (not piracy) even if theres something left at the end of the month and i buy a game i have no time left to play because I am either studying or working.

With multiplayer is the final nail in the coffin geeze, I did not feel bad about cracked games because it was like they are a demo that if you want to play multiplayer you bought it. Condolences crytek ^^. Heck most people will buy it anyways who love the game.

@yRaz

If your going to insult us at least make an account and do so directly.

ROFL. Like you would still know who i am if i did register.

That's so disappointing. I want to play this game badly, or at least the demo, and I would never download this leaked release EVER out of respect for Crytek. They are one of the best, most dedicated developer teams out there, they do not deserve this. They have revolutionized PC gaming with multiple titles, starting with Far Cry. It's a shame someone would do this to them, and I would gladly kick that persons *** for Cevat.

It's funny how stories/articles come out. Who says leaked/pirated games have any real impact on sales? The manufacturer, some news article, some random company who projects random numbers of what could be sales? Pirating aka stealing has been around since the dawn of time, that isn't going to change anytime soon. People who love to blame PC for alot things must not realize that consoles get hacked, have mods and have cheaters. The difference is PC is global becuase it's been around awhile. While there are alot of consoles sold, not everyone goes online with them. The whole PC vs consoles is no different than Windows vs Mac. Mac doesn't get as many virus or hacks(yet) against it simply because the system(Linux) wasn't as widely used as Windows due to lack of support. Things are changing for Mac and getting more support every year. In time Mac will be no better than what Windows already is, some will say it is already there.

When manufacturers stop making the hardware for hackers/modders, maybe then we will see change start to happen but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Firstly I'm definitely not saying anything about what effect this will have, why it got out or where it came from.

Now I am not a business/finance expert so please someone explain to me, preferably in the most basic possible terms exactly how Crytek could make a profit through dropping the PC platform. Besides forcing us all onto consoles over the next couple of decades I really don't see it. (and since when has a major international company chosen a large long term profit over small benefits/managerial bonuses today?)

sorry? WHO LEAKED it? PIRATE or DAMN CRYTEK employee??!!!!!!!!

Obviously a crytek employee. That becomes obvious to anyone who noticed that the game isn't out yet.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

It's a corridor shooter with inferior gameplay to the first game and no continuity. The graphics are definitely inferior when you put the games pictures side by side. At one point they are going to nuke NYC. Well as we all know in the first game a nuke causes an extreme gain in the aliens power. But Crytek said screw you to the first game and made it a consolized scripted game that is in no way a sandbox game.

For the record I didn't DL it. I watched my friend Brad play through it today.

This news makes me buying the game when it's out even if i'm not too much interested into it.
Just for fighting this kinda destroying piracy.
Hope they find who did this mess.

Idon't donwload, and I'll buy the game.

I don't think it will have that much of an effect on the PC sales. I don't believe there are many people who would cancel their preorder because of a leaked God-knows-how-and-if working build. Neither will it change most people's plans to buy the game imho.

And Crytek can probably only blame themselves if it's an internal build.

the game is a console port....CONSOLE PORT>>>>SCREW EM. I will never pay $60 to play DX9 and any so-called pc gamer that does has lost much respect. STOP PAYING GOOD MONEY FOR CRAPPY PORTS. I will never ever buy COD unless its on steam for $10.

Crytek didn't leak it and i doubt dev leaked it bc their all going to prob get in trouble rite now even if they didn't especially in sale because now that their is multiplayer there is no point for hackers to buy the game. Maybe a clever janitor at there place stole the game from their computers and gave it to a tech savy friend or something like that, you never know. I do know they lost millions in sales so it's not on purpose.

I have Far Cry, Crysis and Far Cry 2 in my modest collection of PC games. All were bought and paid for at the local computer store where I usually shop. When Crysis 2 comes out, I intend to go there and buy a boxed copy as well. I consider it as my modest personal contribution to PC gaming as well as part of my responsibility as a person to respect the rights of others over their property in as much as I would also like other people to respect my rights over my own property.

I've said it earlier and I'll say it again. Crytek has no one to blame but themselves, whether it happened because of a disgruntled employee(why did they piss this person off, why didn't they keep an eye on him or fire him after they pissed him off), poor security measures on thier part(why the lackluster security, who has authorization for this type of information), done by some PC hacker(most likely pissed that they weren't even going to give the group that has made Crytek who they are today the decency of a freaking demo, now that I'm thinking WHERE IS THE FREAKING PC DEMO CRYTEK), or done deliberately(are they starting $h!t so they can have an excuse to get out of the pc market) they can only blame themselves and no one else. Hey Crytek, make sure when you go pointing the blame that you are near a wall of mirrors.

Holier than thou much?

This leak will not affect sales of the game. From what I hear, this version is crap. People will buy the game when it gets out, if for no other reason than because they've read so many of these almost violently anti-piracy comments. It's really quite amusing to read how far people take their arguments; the end of PC gaming? Get real. If Crytek wanted to leave PC, they would have done so irrespective of this leak. Similarly, if they wanted to stay, they wouldn't let this affect their decision. And, really, PC gaming is bigger than just Crysis. Black Ops' sales highlight just how little danger PC gaming is in.

Don't be suprized when the nex crysis is console only game. Good work to the ******* that did this. Im sad now
