Good job Pirates, now that's just 1 more reason for developers to abandon PC gaming and leave consolized ports as scraps for the real PC gamers.

All though folks buying tri-sli GTX 580s or crossfire 6970s or whatever, what's the point anymore? Nothing will EVER take advantage of that hardware especially at this rate.

Exactly. This is a very sad day in PC gaming. Possibly one of the final nails in the PC gaming coffin. Anyone wanting a gaming PC in a few years time will just have to buy a mid-range Dell.

This is something that deeply saddens me. There really isn't a point anymore to lusting after great hardware. It was awesome back in the 7900GTX and X1950XTX days. Now the only thing people use highend graphics cards for is to crank up the AA. It's gotten to the point were we have to add more monitors to take advantage of all the power these things have. I wanted something the a 6950 or a gtx 570, but it looks like I'm just going to go with a 6850.

I loved the first Crysis and I still love the first Far Cry, Crytek made both these and they're a brilliant developer that pushes the PC past anything others do.

I haven't been gaming on PC that long but I'll be buying this game because I like Crytek's games and definately to support them, others should do the same, even if your impatient and download the free game you should still buy the game =P

Interesting. I recall people furiously kvetching when Crysis debuted, and complaining that their hardware would have to be upgraded heavily to even get a decent game.

Now people are kvetching because the hardware has caught up, and even those with mid-line PC's can have enjoyable gameplay.

I don't understand why that's sad at all. It means we don't have to be nickel-and-dimed to get worthwhile gameplay. People got sick with upgrading their PC's, and went to consoles for the easier experience. Now that PC's have become so powerful in relation to the programs, it might mean that people will once again consider gaming with a PC, especially now that prices have come down for excellent hardware. That's good for ALL PC gamers.

When your system runs at 10FPS at Ultra settings, you will wish your had Triple anything in your POS system. Why are you even reading PC news related website??

Hhow about you just go play tennis on Wii and leave the PC gaming to professionals.

He has a good system...One worthy of playing crysis 2. If your going to insult us at least make an account and do so directly.

Sounds like PC gamers got mad their game got put on console and decided to hack the game wide open in revenge.

This was CLEARLY leaked by someone from Crytek. All I have to say.

My thoughts are still the same, this has all been staged. Not anyone and everyone handle this sort of things and even if they do there are security measures.

If this was really just a disgruntled employee, SHAME on crytek, SHAME ON YOU! you and you alone must bare the shame and the "rage" since it is your damned fault... sorry but the only one who you could be pissed at is Crytek and the lame security measures they had.

Again, dont know what is so wrong about this like most have said piracy is known to boost sales, there are always people who wont buy the game at all so there is no loss there, BUT a lot of people will get the game even if they have downloaded it before (Some like to test drive games like this and see if they are worth spending the bucks, like some sort of demo) specially when there are multiplayer modes which require some sort of validation.

I hope that is sarcasm. The likelihood of a hackers breaking into Crytek and taking the game is unlikely.
  12. People are so brave when the are sheathed in internet anonymity. Little pirate pissers!.
I'm buying the game. I've had all of Crytecs games. Far Cry 1 and 2. Crysis, Crysis Wars, and soon Crysis 2. And I may even upgrade (If I even need to, running an EAH5870 right now, but only on a quad core, and Windows 7). Crytec is very good at making the kind of games I like to play and finish.
  13. I'm glad this happened to PC, you guys were talking so much about how it is going to have superior graphics and so much more better on the PC. Well now you guys may not get games like this so cheers to being a console gamer.
  14. yRaz TechSpot Enthusiast Posts: 720   +21

I don't even know how to respond to that...it is going to be "more better" on PC because it is the better, more powerful system. You can't argue that an xbox or a PS3 is capable of better graphics. They were both outdated technology when they came out. Maybe you're just jealous, but I can't see how anyone would enjoy to see that fall of an industry. I always think of console gamers like people trying to hold onto VHS tapes. Move on, consoles are fun for playing with friends, but serious gaming is done on a PC.

    wtf

I'm sorry for you guys thinking this leak would change something, the truth is there will be no difference AT ALL! Sooner or Later a cracked version of ANY game appears on the internet and believe if someone wasn't planning to spend his cash on this game there is no way of making him/her change his/her mind. NO WAY. PERIOD. If someone think that because of illegal downloads Crytek or EA will lose money he is WRONG! (btw i think the only ones who says: "well this year we lost another 10trillion Dollals due to piracy blah blaah blaa" are the financal *****s that has never done anything which actually has something with PC games or software in common at all).

And those who really wanted to buy this game, they would anyways....i mean why not?
To save 50-60$? Really? Are u that greedy? As I already said if you wanted to buy this game you have already planned to spend some money...

And at last the most crucial thing: there are more important things than video games, even if crytek, ea and all the other go bust... go out and start doing something that really matters instead of crying in some internet forum.

Not sure why people are fussing about this, this isn't anything but a demo or some sort or just like how win7 was release in all its glory but a beta. Obviously this won't hurt sales in a way. I wont be playing the game until about 2 years from now anyways, because i am not spending 60 bucks on the game. 29.99 is my limit for a pc game, 40 dollars depending on what it is, but Crysis 2 isn't worth 60 bucks, or crysis games in general for that matter.

correction 29.99 is my limit for pc games.

I think there is no response to something that stupid... dont even try to argue with people like that (p.s. should I call someone with an IQ of 43,5638*(10^(put a very large number here thx) a person at all???)

rofl, i mean u can say u're lucky i live in germany and last year i had to pay 80€ (its about 11000$) for an uncut Fallout3 (no limited collection or stuff like that), yesterday i wanted to pre-order BF3 for PC on Amazon.de and its 60€ and the PS3 & Xbox Versions even worse 75€..... i'm a student and get max 390€ per month by working on week-ends, i mean this is the real issue (not piracy) even if theres something left at the end of the month and i buy a game i have no time left to play because I am either studying or working.

With multiplayer is the final nail in the coffin geeze, I did not feel bad about cracked games because it was like they are a demo that if you want to play multiplayer you bought it. Condolences crytek ^^. Heck most people will buy it anyways who love the game.
