Lenovo and NEC partner to become Japan's largest PC group

  1. As expected, Lenovo and NEC have announced a joint venture that forms NEC Lenovo Japan Group, the largest PC group in the country. The duo will be able to grow their commercial and consumer PC businesses in Japan, the third largest PC market in the world, through a stronger market position, enhanced product portfolios, and expanded distribution channels.

    I only wish NEC kept itself at 51% share rather than giving 51% to Lenovo, but it'll be interesting to see how this partnership will essentially change the landscape in East Asia and particularly in Japan.

    I think it could be good idea to join Lenovo and NEC worldwide. Lenovo needs to expand their product portfolio.
