Linux Boot Problem

I have a linux boot cd that works fine in my computer (it is created by the Nero Back-it-up Program) but in my friends computer it responds by asking for a second floppy (and remember that it is a boot cd not a floppy). Any ideas! I am a linux newbie.

Burn yourself a new CD from a better distro.

Are you looking for a LiveCD or something to actually install from?

If you're looking for a LiveCD, I suggest Knoppix.

The CD that won't work was created by nero. I ned Something to install the total drive backup without removing the harddrive from the computer. I am concerned that a restore of nreo backitup disk from a fresh install of windows won't work because it won't be able to overwrite certain system files?
