Log for local network sharing

  1. Does anyone know if there is a way to setup a log that shows what people have downloaded from my local network, and what their computer name is? It isn't a big deal, but would be kind of nice to see what certain people wanted.

Oh, if you run something like that, or Network Monitor, etc, then you see that even if you open up a file share on another machine and open a file inside and then close it again, about 2-4 pages of crap is generated. You have to know a lot about network operations to understand it, but its possible to filter a lot of the obscure things about and get it down to arp requests, broadcasts, dhcp requests, etc... I am sure that there will be a "for dummies" app somewhere that translates the lot into something a bit more meaningful.
