Logitech 5.1 speakers not working at all

I recently brought some logitech 5.1 speakers for my brand new pc, But When i attempt to play Mp3s, They don't play at all.

The sound comes from the monitor speakers, Witch arn't at all loud enough.
At first i suspected it that the speakers didn't work, but when i play DVDS All the speakers work perfectly.

I'm assuming that that my monitor is set to play mp3s as default and the 5.1s to play DVDS
Is there anyway I can change this, so adleast my front speakers played the MP3s?


Btw they don't even play youtube music.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are all the connectors connected properly to your sound card? Remove the audio connection to your monitor on the computer and replace it with your logitech connection. The connections are usually color coded and if so it should be green.
