years ago, before my stroke I was told a command that you type in the run box and requires the original xp disk to be in the drive, that has windows check that all the necessary bits of xp are present as they should be. my problem is I can't remember what the command was, it may just be my imagination; I was hoping it might help cure an error 1402 problem that has to do with permissions that stops me installing a programme called dragon naturally speaking 11- I get told something about a key that means nothing to me. maybe this command is my imagination or a false memory
The error is to do with incorrect permissions in the registry. Try following the advise on the following site to fix your problem: http://www.okino.com/conv/changing_windows_registry_permissions.htm
thank you very much, fortunately the problem was solved by unistalling the program and re-installing it. that article looks very useful for improving my understanding of these things, I'm grateful to you for that.
