Looking for a good free web design tutorial

I have been looking for a good web design tutorial so as to get ahead of when i start back school and have been proving unsuccessful. Please asking for help in finding such a website that i can prolly download a *.pdf file from or just be able to learn the basic structure. Also if i could be told how to see the script file for a web page using Mozilla Firefox and internet explorer.

This is a good HTML tutorial. That's where I learned a lot of what I know now.

Here is a web site design tutorial, but you need to know HTML first.
