Looking for suggestions on Radeon 9600 video card trouble

Have a T6000 E-machine, and up until 2 days ago the video was totally functional. Unit had been on, as I never turn it off, and came upon the video was unable to be brightened. Screen is clear for display of text and colors are fine, but can't get the brightness up to properly see the details in pictures. Tried 2 other monitors and same ordeal. Put monitors on another system and they function fine. Any clues as to what happened would be appreciated.

You could try increasing the brightness from the Catalyst Control Center.
