  1. I have been running Microsoft money 2004 oem for about 6 years, then I download Money 2007 from this site, so at a later date I could convert all my data files over to quicken software. This is because of Microsoft withdrawning support to all money programmes from January 2011.
I backed up all my money programmes onto external drive.
Since I down load the money 2007 it has locked up all my files and I can't access them, the passwords do not word and a message comes on my screen and said " you can't access these files as they are read only"
Can anyone that has experience this type of problem help me recover my missing data.
    Thanks grange2

    Lost Money files

If you have your folder view set to see hidden files . You might try. C: drive> Documents and Settings>Owner>My Recent Documents(Hidden file)> . My money shows up here. Hint if there save to jump drive or somethng other than what you have it on. Good luck. LETITBE
