    it was compared to the sound of a dustbuster... i wouldn't mind it at all with my 7800 rpm heatsink... i dont really notice the noise until i open up my case.

    Even people that normally are not bothered by noise are finding the FX noise level annoying. this is because there is a difference in PITCH. If I were an Nvidia fan I would wait for the FX non Ultra that wont have the dustbuster. even at 400 mhz it will be a good perfroming card.

    I would have thought it was pretty quiet using a squirrel-cage fan. I have several high performance squirrel-cage fans of different sizes and they are pretty quiet when compared to box type fans.
