If I export a lotus spreadsheet (through the usual print routine) as a pdf file it is saved OK but the software insists on adding a 1-2-3 prefix to the file name. The pdf software is Foxit which is excellent in all other respects. Foxit support have no idea what is going on and there is no support for Lotus 123 that I can find.
    Any ideas anyone?

take the simple approach; let it do its save and then rename it manually :)

Hi Jobeard - since the price of postage in UKkers went through the roof I have used pdf files as email attachments instead if I have to do this it will take ages given the volume of these things I generate.
The other option is go use Excel, of course!

Would it be practical to begin creating spreadsheets using Calc in LibreOffice instead? If so, LibreOffice supports publishing to pdf format.

Thanks Mailpup - I am really trying not to have to convert all my spreadsheets into another format. I do hear good things about TLO though so will have a look at it soon.
