Low FPS in WoW

  1. Hey guys. I am having a problem with my World of Warcraft, the fps seems very low, even if i turn down the settings.

My computer is quite decent, not very high end, but still decent, and I think it should run WoW on high settings just fine?
I mean, it's not actually a very graphics demanding game.
I also play CoD4 which my computer runs just fine with 60-70 fps at medium high graphics.

    Anyway, here's my specs:
    Nvidia GeForce 8600GT 512mb
    4094 RAM
    IntelCore Duo 2 T7500 2,20GHz
    120GB HDD 7200rpm

    Windows XP Pro 64bit.

    BTW, it's a laptop.

I am also using a laptop cooler for it, so its not actually that hot.
I am also pretty sure that my drivers are up to date. I checked at and they told my that they were up to date.

    I had the same problem

well hers whats going on blizzard updating thier eingine and the graphics are actually pretty demanding i play wow on full everything with a 9800gtx+ and only get 34 Frames. A 8600gt is now low end and cant really handle games as well, im guessing wow used to play very fast, wiht 30 -60fps in BC if you upgraded to WOTLK the graphics have had a big upgrade so thtats why your expiriencing the lag of frames.
