Problem was solved a while back. I meant to post this some time ago, but certain things came up and well, I forgot :haha:
Seems like the fault was due to the motherboard (or more precisely, BIOS) originally supporting only dual-core processors. Seeing as my CPU was quadcore, it did not boot. (At least this was what was written in the technical document I got when I picked my computer back) Updating the BIOS was what they did and tadaa, the computer booted. It has been working great lately.
So, to anyone else who may have had the same problem, you might consider updating your BIOS, it might just work
I'm sorry to bring back a "dead" post, but I just wanted you guys to know everything worked fine in the end. Thank you all for your time and help, I have really appreciated it. The TechSpot forums have indeed become my #1 place to seek help if computer problems arise.
