Mac help - Drive repair possible?

  1. platycat Newcomer, in training

    I have had 3 people come to me with their mac laptops with the same question, can the cd drive be fixed because they have to hold it like 98% in to make it read, if they lock the drawer it won't go.... I'm not a Mac person, but 3 out of 3... that's no co-ink-E-dink!

    Beastly little biggers, I replaced a screen in one once, ugh....

    Maybe one guy told someone else you fix laptop doors or something :confused:

    confuzed about the MACs

    Both G4 apples.... I have fixed a HP cd door in the past, but it was just the lock clip was bad, no biggie.... but I have tons of replacement parts for PC so I often replace failed opticals... *shrug*

    Yes I've done it thousands of times myself
    Usually due to case issues (as you must know)

    I think co-incidence for 3. But then again things aren't made the way they use to be ;)
