Making screen bigger

if this this is the wrong place to ask, I'm sorry;


my problem is, inter alia and to put it in context, I use gmail


although I have a quite large wide screen acer monitor I cannot see the very top of the gmail page where the settings live

moreover in google voice and video I cannot see enough of my true love's face, there should be a thing to make her face fill the whole screen but the faint icon at the top which enables that is obscured

.I thought, but knowing me, probably wrongly, that it might be a windows setting that makes the visible screen bigger

NB the monitor controls are too complicated for me; hitherto I have been content that it just works

Use the "settings" part of Diplay in Windows to adjust the settings for that screen. ACER actually gives you a setup suggestion at startup as to what the settings should be for normal viewing.

thank you very much indeed for replying?- so it is a question of the windows settings?- what should they be to get maximum stuff on a screen/page?-I don't really understand those kinds of settings
