Malfunction 'Alternate' key!

I have a two-year old Twinhead notebook. The problem with it is its 'Alt' key which seems it is always being pressed. When i type 'f', the file menu appears, when i type 'h', the help menu appears. other keys seem to jam when this problem occur. It also affects the clicking of the mouse due to malfunction 'Alt' key. Sometimes it is ok, but most of the time, it goes haywire...can anyone help? Thanks very much.

Sounds like either your keyboard needs cleaning, or it needs replacing.

Because it`s a laptop you have, it may be better to have this done by a professional, particularly if you`re not comfortable in taking your laptop apart.

anyone else encountered such a problem? hope there is a quick and easy and cheap remedy to it.... thanks
