  1. Need help with Malware shockwave updater

Hello everyone. My name is Frank. I recently found an icon in my tray that was listed as Shockwave updater. When I tried to click on it nothing happened. My first action was to try uninstalling shockwave from my system. After that I saw here that it was malware. I have done the preliminary steps listed. I hope that I didn't screw anything up in the process. I did have to repeat one step out of order due to the fact that the log it generate was too large to post. I would like to thank everyone in advance for their help and their time.

    Frank

shockwave is not malware. It is similiar to flash and is used to animate web pages. Your own AVG scan even says so.

Thank you for the reply. The icon's active process in task manager was listed as postupdate.exe. I thought this was considered malware. I cannot find that file or process anywhere on my computer now. That said, I am in way over my head so any little bit of info is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
