I'd like to know what free protection I can get for my wireless laptop? We had trouble with McAfee, downloaded Norton which seemed to sort the problem (thanks to you all on here) but now the free trial has run out I am after a different provider.
Wireless can be set up (using either Windows wireless settings or the program that came with your wireless drivers) to only allow specific Mac address (the individual unique network card hardware) or be given high encryption code.
Therefore an Internet security, will only be required for your Windows and data.
In this case, my personnal thoughts are for you to fully uninstall Norton (please do this!) and then install AVG free and either Zone Alarm or Comodo firewall
All being free, and certainly enough for anyone
Internet Security software, in my opinion, has become too bloated. And thus will slow down any system significantly.
