Can you connect an ethernet cable directly to the router to obtain Internet ?
If so (possibly after IE reconfigures itself to work with the Ethernet) can you then do a live Router firmware upgrade. to the current version.

You may need to refer to the manual on doing a firmware upgrade

Basically, this info has come from this link:
http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?t=223267
And resolved the same issue your having

Once the router has been updated (and reset)
You can then try wireless connectivity again

I just upgraded the firmware for the router and everything is working great.

thanks for your help.....i appreciate it.
