Memory affects network speed or router priority?

i know that multiple laptops compete with the same signal from a single router. but will a 4 gig be able to have an advantage over a 2 gig laptop thanks pls do not laugh at my question! hu hu hu

The connection speed will purely be down to the network card/wireless speed and any settings in the router (for example setting the 2gig laptop to use a set IP address and restricting its connection). A faster processor will have pretty much no affect on your machines connection speed to the router as far as I am aware.
