Memory & Latency Question

This is a rather specific questions and I've built several pc's but sometimes you just dont have all the answers.

I have a PQI brand PC3200 Dual 512 DDR kit running in bank 1 & 2 of my gigabyte Motherboard KnS-939. I wanted to purchase another 512 kit for banks 3 & 4 to bring total memory up to 1GB, but I am unable to find the exact same brand.

The first Kit has been working a long time now without any issues. It's 2.5v. The dual kingston kit (running in 3 & 4) I bought today is 2.6. There is no where in the motherboard to set the latency to match..

Will this cause system unstabilty? Note I'm running it right now and just installed it and the board now says I have (2GBs) memory and I have a definite improvement noticed from my 1 gig before. Will the system automatically adjust to use the worst latency?

depending on the memory

your memory will run on the looser latencies determined by the slower memory
so if your original dimms have a cas 2.5 and your new ones have cas 2 then theyll all run @ 2.5
