Memory upgrade..

    Salut, i have a 768mb ddr 400 memory and i am thinking to upgrade to 1ghz
    (1x512+2x256) is it worthing the money..will i see better performance?

    My system is:

    Intel p4 3.0ghz
    768mb ram ddr 400 (1x512+1x256)
    Gigabyte SiS mobo( GA-8S648FX)
    Nvidia Geforce 5700FX 256MB

    I doubt you will see much difference, but that depends on what you use your computer for.

    What do you need all that ram for?

    Just a thought.

    It may be wise to check your mobo manual before you buy anymore ddr400 ram as you may be limited as to how much you can have in your mobo.

    my mobo has no problem to add another ddr ram..the question is how the ram affects my pc's perfomance? ,i use it for general use and some games(doom 3, etc)..
