Memory usage doubled

  1. Hello I have a Dell Studio 1535 running Vista SP1 and my C drive has 87 GB used of 287, however when I select all folders and files in C and press properties it tells me there's only 43.5 GB present, so I was wondering why my memory usage is doubled and is this due to Dell backup software or Vista?

DId you partition your drive and forgot allocate the rest? You can view all your partitions/hard drives under disk management.

If you have a Dell Restore partition figure 8Gb for that. Page file may get another 1.5 Gb.

tuant has the right idea - check your Disk Management data.

Oh - and that isn't a 'memory' issue, it is a hard drive (hd) storage issue. For your info.
