Mic doesn't work in TF2

  1. nosebleedXD Newcomer, in training

    when i run TF2, and i try to talk in game, it does not work

    when i go to options and test my mic, it can not read any sound apparently

    aside from that, my mic doesn't work in vent either, so no one can hear me

    when i minimize or close the game, then my mic starts working in ventrilo

    also, i have tested other games such as warcraft 3, wow, cs and my mic worked fine in game and on vent

    so i was wondering what is wrong with this, cause it seems its only me having this problem

    Are you running Vista by chance?

    There can also be an issue with Sound/Mic properties where you need to Not Allow Exclusive Use of the mic. If allowed, one app can lock out other apps
