This whole thing is actually pretty funny. Imagine WIN8 having a 'always on' requirement - what would the masses do then?
MS has not 'officially' stated one way or the other on these 'issues', I think its all a marketing ploy to drum up free press - imagine how 'good' MS becomes if/when the new box does NOT require an always on internet connection?
Remember when 'everyone' wanted an iPhone and only AT&T offered it. If you had bad or no AT&T service in your area you were SOL. To some that made them WANT the silly device even more cause they could not get it. Don't have an 'always on internet connection'? There's always that SECOND CLASS box that Sony makes.
