Microsoft Office 2010 now available in stores, online

  1. Microsoft Office 2010 is now occupying retail shelf space, and Redmond's betting that you'll waltz into the nearest Best Buy and plunk down $129 for a new copy of the productivity suite. Although some people will resist the urge to upgrade by continuing to use an older version of MS Office or by relying on free alternatives, Microsoft is prepping an $80 million ad campaign to convince the rest.

  2. Oh its in stores now? I have been running this for 3 months on the full version now they are way behind with the times.

    It is a really good improvement on 2007 - lot's of rough edges smoothed away. been using it for 2 months (MSDN) now and definitely a thumbs-up.

    Until they fix the stupid way they are doing the menus, I'm not budging off of 2003. Open Office keeps looking better and better.
  5. Open Office still has the better price.
