Microsoft releases out of band patch for Internet Explorer

  1. As promised, Microsoft has released an out-of-bound patch for Internet Explorer which is meant to address a security vulnerability exploited earlier this month in a series of targeted and sophisticated attacks against Google and other companies. The patch has been made available through Microsoft's website and Windows Update.

    I updated last night on my laptop (win7 ie8). But it's not like i use IE anymore, Firefox 3.6 is really great.

    I just getting totally lost here: a cumulative update to be secure for a hole to be patched, buf! or should I say: bug!
