  1. Hi guys,

    I'm using XP Pro. I had a problem open up files in my documents folder lately. Whenever i tried to open a file within a folder in my documents, i got a error message :

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error! Program: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.ex
    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

    I've tried scanning it with spyware, virus scan, but still no help. Please help me with this. Thank you very much.

    Do you have the Google toolbar installed? if so, try uninstalling it.

    You might also try booting into Safe Mode and see if the problem persists. If it still occurs in Safe Mode you'll need to do a repair or reinstall. If it only occurs on normal boot, then can next test to try to identify the troublemakeer
