Microsoft wants iTunes on Windows 8, but Apple is reluctant

I almost want to side with Apple with their decision. Apple is all about consistency with their UIs and whatnot, and having two versions of iTunes for Windows may confuse a lot of users and the Modern UI has no resemblance to Apple's UI design/appearance, whereas iTunes on OS X and Windows desktop are very similar.

I also don't like iTunes as a music player, I don't think it "sucks", I just feel it tries to be too many things and as a result is bloated. I use foobar2000 explicitly as my music player, iTunes for syncing with my iPod, and VLC for watching videos.
