I got my beta! So far it has been far from disappointing, quite interesting in fact.

Have a friend playing the beta as well and he loves it. But what do you mean interesting that it's not disappointing? Did you expect Blizzard to do something like EA did with C&C? From everything I've seen/read SC2 is just an improved SC more like a 1.5 kinda thing rather then an entire new game. Which seems like a great move imo.

Well i didn't like warcraft3 and it's 3d ness, and the new dragoons looked rather crappy while hydralisks looked imba from what I had seen before.
Also I thought things would be very similar to starcraft....while they are obviously related games, you can't apply starcraft broodwar logic to SC2; its a different game.

0.o, you don't enjoy 3D elements? I only played WC3 briefly ages ago but from what I remember it was enjoyable. And regarding SC wasn't really trying to compare the two just mentioning that I got the feeling that it was very familiar and not something entirely new. And thinking about it I haven't played SC in ages too, can barely remember it .

I felt that 2d units behaved better .
