Hi guys,
I recently formatted my computer with windows XP as I do every few years. A creepy little problem started occurring every so often mostly when viewing media, such as videos and pictures, as well as during game-play: a black screen that lasts about 2 seconds. As far as I can tell, the screen just goes black and does not affect the computer's processes.
It happens more during games, and also of note, some pictures will cause the screen to stay black until I remove the picture (If I can guess where the X is to close the window).
I have a ATI x1950 pro. I was running the computer with the exact same setup, without this problem beforehand. I am using the most up to date driver for my card as well.
Any hypotheses would be appreciated. And if you need more info just ask! (Im kinda new in this forum...not sure what info is needed)
