Monitor doesn't display BIOS

  1. I have a strange issue with my monitor. When I turn my computer on, sometimes it will show the BIOS splash screen and other times it won't. This seems to also always happen if I restart.

Its like the monitor doesn't realise there is anything to display then when it kicks in, its too late to show it. Is there any reason for it to show it sometimes but not others?

    Hi -

Have you tried connecting an external monitor when attempting to display the BIOS? If it works, this would instantly tell us your faulty hardware/issue; your monitor. If it doesn't work, then.. I'll see.

Is it possible to use the screen of a laptop for this?
